mnbv aka Aida Minibaeva is a rising talent in the world of electronic music. Born in Ufa, Russia and based in Beijing, Aida has been a partygoer since her early teens and decided to pursue a career in music after moving to China in 2009. She has since performed at a variety of events, venues, and festivals both in China and abroad, including the Amsterdam Dance Event in 2018 and her first European and Asian tours in 2019.
In addition to her own performances, Aida is dedicated to supporting other female artists in the industry. She co-ran the techNOrules platform, which helped to promote up-and-coming and established female artists both locally and internationally. Aida is also a part of the Arrhythmia project, which aims to bring musical diversity to dance floors around the world.
In recent years, Aida has begun curating a Sunday night party called “明天不上班 [Ming Tian Bu Shang Ban]”. 2020 was a big year for Aida, as she made her debut as a producer with the release of her EP “Beijing Autumn” on Eyes To The Front, as well as debuting on Berlin-based label Elektrotribe. She has also received great reception for her three releases on Reckoning Records.
